We’re excited to invite you to a special FOSSCOMM 2024 evening at Μπονμπονέλλα Bar on November 8, 2024! This event is a great opportunity to relax, enjoy drinks and snacks, and socialize with other attendees. Below is all the important information to ensure you understand how the evening will work, what’s included in your voucher, and how additional purchases will be handled.

- Time: 18:00 – 23:00 (You’re welcome to stay later, but special event pricing ends at 23:00)
- Venue: Μπονμπονέλλα Bar, Thessaloniki
- Shared Space: Please note, the bar will remain open to the public. While we have a reserved area, other customers will be present, so please be respectful of the shared space.
How it works?
Each attendee will receive a voucher which covers:
- One drink from the special event menu
- One sandwich
The event menu has been created specifically for this night, and here’s what you can choose from:
- Coca-Cola
- Beer Free
- Vergina beer (500ml)
- Vodka
- Gin
- Tequila
- Signature/Premium cocktails
For the premium cocktails, you will need to pay an extra fee directly to the bar staff (€2 or €3, depending on the cocktail) along with handing them your drink coupon. These are still part of your voucher selection, but they come with an extra charge.
How the Voucher Works
You will receive 2 vouchers, the first voucher entitles you to one drink, and the second to one sandwich from the special event menu. However, for the premium cocktails mentioned above, you’ll need to pay the small additional fee directly to the bar staff.
For the sandwich, we’ll offer snacks like turkey and cheese sandwiches with sauce, and we’re also preparing vegan options for anyone who requests them in advance. Please let us know your preferences for the vegan sandwiches a week before the event.
Additional Orders & Pricing
If you wish to order more food or drinks after you’ve used your voucher, these orders will be made from the regular bar menu, not the event menu. Any additional drinks or snacks you order will be at the regular prices of Μπονμπονέλλα, with a €1 discount for FOSSCOMM attendees.
For example, if a beer on the regular menu costs €5, FOSSCOMM attendees will pay €4. This discount applies only to the regular menu.
All extra orders will be paid directly to the servers, so our organizing team will not handle these payments.
Event Duration & Post-Event Pricing
The official event runs from 18:00 to 23:00. During this time, you’ll have access to the special event pricing and menu. After 23:00, the event pricing will end, and the bar will revert to its normal pricing. You’re welcome to stay as long as you’d like, but after 23:00, all orders will be at the standard bar rates with no discounts.
Music & Atmosphere
A DJ will be playing music to keep the atmosphere lively. However, due to local regulations, the volume will be lowered after 23:00 to respect the neighborhood. We ask that you also respect these rules to ensure a fun and respectful night for everyone.
Important Expectations for Attendees
By attending this event, you are expected to have read and understood these guidelines regarding the use of the voucher, additional charges, and how the evening will be organized. It is important that all attendees follow these guidelines to ensure the event runs smoothly and fairly for everyone.
If any attendee disregards these rules or fails to respect the terms of the event, we reserve the right to deny further participation in the event and, if necessary, take further action to maintain the safety and respect of the space and other participants.
Key Reminders
- Know what’s covered: Your voucher includes one drink and one sandwich from the special event menu. If you choose a premium cocktail, you’ll need to pay the additional fee directly to the bar staff.
- No extra drinks from the event menu: If you want more drinks or food after using your voucher, you’ll need to order from the regular menu, which comes with a €1 discount for FOSSCOMM attendees. These extra purchases are paid directly to the bar.
- Shared space: The bar will not be closed to the public, so we’ll be sharing the space with other customers. Please be mindful of this and respect the bar’s other patrons.
- Stay informed: We will provide reminders before and during the event so that everyone knows exactly what’s included and how additional charges will be handled.
Form clarifications:
Please make sure to enter the email to which you received your conference confirmation email (the email you used to register for FOSSCOMM) for us to associate and identify your participation in the Beer event! If you enter a different email, you will not be able to participate in the Beer event. Each email can be used only once, and the Welcome Event Registration Form will be open for a short period of time due to the limited number of vouchers.
If you didn’t register for the Welcome Event, you’re still welcome to join the party! Just note that we will not be able to provide you with any food and drinks and you are expected to pay them yourself. We look forward to seeing you there!
